No. 011: To The One Who Chooses Me

Marc Chagall's Birthday (1915)

“What a privilege it is, to try so hard to be this ideal someone else for you, to fail, and to continuously be loved regardless.”

Tania,

I stumble my words a lot around you. Usually in fear of looking weak, or “uncool”. And every time I see you, I tell myself I’ll make a good impression. And that I’ll do my best to be the confident, and attractive person you want to be with.

But every time I fail pretty hard at that. My speech impediments let loose, I lose my train of thought, my voice becomes shaken and high pitched. And you still choose me everyday.

What a privilege it is, to try so hard to be this ideal someone else for you, to fail, and to continuously be loved regardless.
